Who Am I?
My Story: Karting – My Safe Space, My Passion, and My Journey
Karting has been much more than a sport to me; it has been a lifeline to overcome some of the toughest challenges life has thrown my way. Growing up with anxiety and ADHD, I often felt like my mind was racing faster than I could keep up with. When I discovered karting in May 2012, it became a place where I could finally channel that energy and find focus. The intense concentration required on the track helped tame my ADHD and, over time, transformed my ability to concentrate on the things that mattered most in life.
I got involved in karting alongside my mom, who has been my greatest supporter throughout this journey. Together, we found solace in the track during difficult times in our lives, and it became much more than a hobby. It was our escape; a place where we could leave our troubles behind, focus on the moment, and strengthen our bond. Through racing, my mom and I have formed an unbreakable connection; one built on shared experience, love, and the pursuit of a common passion.
Karting has taught me so much more than just how to drive. It has instilled in me values that are essential in life; patience, discipline, and the relentless drive to improve. But, as with any long journey, there have been plenty of obstacles. I’ve faced setbacks, disappointments, and moments where I questioned my ability to continue. Yet, each time I encountered adversity, I found a way to push through. These experiences have shaped who I am today, not just as a racer, but as a person.
In 2022, on my birthday, I walked into K1 for the first time. Little did I know that just six months later, I would be crowned the K1 Speed Canadian Champion. The journey since then has been surreal. I’ve won numerous special events at K1, shattered track records, and continued to grow as both a racer and a coach. But my ultimate goal still lies ahead; I dream of winning a National Karting Championship one day. However, on this path, I am not just focused on my own success; I want to help others reach their full potential, just as I was fortunate to have the support and guidance I needed growing up.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my journey has been working with kids who face learning impairments and developmental delays in sports. I’ve seen firsthand how patience, adaptability, and encouragement can help them grow in confidence and focus. I plan to bring these same skills into my karting coaching, offering a supportive environment where all clients, regardless of their abilities, can develop their skills and find joy in the sport, just as I have.
With the knowledge I’ve accumulated over more than a decade; whether it’s karting techniques, race strategy, or the mental resilience it takes to succeed; I am more determined than ever to share what I’ve learned. My goal is to help others develop the skills, confidence, and love for karting that have driven me for so many years. I believe that anyone, regardless of background or ability, can succeed on the track with the right guidance. I plan to make it my mission to provide that guidance, both as a coach and a mentor for all drivers.

Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology: Wilfrid Laurier University
Joan Heimbecker Award Recipient
I am honored to have received the prestigious Joan Heimbecker Award, which recognizes the graduating Honours Kinesiology and Physical Education student with the highest overall academic average at Wilfrid Laurier University. This award not only celebrates academic excellence but also reflects my deep commitment to learning and developing myself as an individual.
Earning this recognition is a testament to my dedication to mastering the principles of kinesiology and applying them effectively. In my coaching, I translate this foundation of knowledge into actionable strategies that help drivers optimize their performance on and off the track. Whether it’s refining technique, building mental resilience, or understanding the biomechanics of karting, my educational background enables me to take a holistic and informed approach to driver development.
This award is more than an achievement, rather it’s a reflection of my ability to connect theory with practice, ensuring that every session I coach is grounded in expertise and designed for measurable results. It is my mission to use this knowledge to elevate drivers to their fullest potential, creating champions both on the track and in life.
